Last evening the sprinkles quit by about 3:00 am and turned to snow briefly until daylight when the wind picked up from the NW. For awhile I thought we would have enough snow to bank houses with the drifting but that didn’t last long. We didn’t receive anything close to what was predicted for rain or snow up here. We had virtually no water problems on the roads and around houses. The snowpack absorbed most of it. A few houses had 1-2″ of standing water on their south sides in spots, but by this afternoon is freezing and will be froze by morning. There will be no issues with travel or parking of wheelhouses for us this weekend. Don’t forget to call and get on the wheelhouse list for Friday.
A couple houses that stayed out overnight had some action, but not much. Today the Perch and small Walleye are biting from the few I’ve heard from out there. After this cold front moves thru the bite should improve.
Permanents coming up should bring a small dirt shovel to break up the snow for adding to the banking around your house as it is going to be some hard stuff out there after this. Another very good thing for all to have with this weekend is a good set of ice cleats as some areas will be very slick out there.
Wheelhouses stored here next week if staying past this weekend will have to park on the NE side of storage lot Sunday, Check with the office before you do. Permanents should have their house ready to pull if necessary and settle up accounts this weekend. I want everyone ready just in case there is a snowstorm the last weekend. I heard there might be a possibility of one, but we’ll wait to see. Might be just rumors..
Keep A Tight Line!
