I missed the last couple days with reports. I was down with the flu, or whatever is going around. It is not fun at all. I had a flu shot this past fall and thought I was going to skate by but it finally got me.
From what reports and pictures that were sent to me the bite was definitely a little slower, but still some nice fish were C/R. The Walleyes over 23″ are starting to look “skinnier” than normal, but the unders are doing well. Some Northern Pike finally started hitting in the normal spots, so hopefully there will be some activity thru March for them and the Tullibee.
To forewarn those with wheelhouses here have not paid for their weekly storage or for those that plan on leaving them for the summer, MUST contact the office this week and arrange for picking up or paying for storage and parking it where we want it no later than February 23rd. Starting February 24th we will be pulling permanents and staging them for summer storage and if your wheelhouse is in the way I will be moving it with the skidsteer….. FYI.
Sounds like the weather is going to give us a nice last Walleye weekend. With the warmup towards the end of the week the bite should pickup too.
Keep a Tight LIne! Eddy
