With the warmer weather the last few days, the temps have finally started to melt the existing snow on the lake. More bare spots are appearing each day, but after tomorrow, we should have some snow cover again and colder temperatures going into the weekend.
The Walleye bite was slow overnight except for smalls in the deeper water. Some fishermen pulled up their lines so they could get some sleep as the smalls were steady. Today, a 40″ Northern was C/R in 13 feet, and a few nice Perch were caught in a little deeper water also.

Ice depths are around 30″. We do not expect the rain to affect it much, as it will turn colder over the next 24 hours. We’ll see how much snow we actually get, and go from there for the weekend. From the sounds of the forecast, it doesn’t seem like it will be a problem.
