Yesterday and overnight the fishing action picked up some. I received some nice C/R pictures from a few anglers. Also yesterday the Perch picked up with some nicer ones caught in shallower water.
The weather forecast is still showing a very significant snow storm arriving late Tuesday thru Thursday. Snow depths are estimated from 8-12″ and more just to the south of us. followed by strong N winds gusting to 35 mph. For that reason we are pulling the plug on the season and starting to remove houses Sunday/Monday. That amount of snow and drifting will cause flooding around the houses. Because of ice depths,(lack of), we have this late in the season, it is better to get them off the ice before. Especially when there is only a couple days left after the snowstorm.
I’m sure after it’s over i will be reopening some of roads for the last weekend depending on how much snow we get. I will post what we will be doing later in the week in the report.
Permanents that don’t show up by noon today (Feb 18th) or call the office will be called and informed that we will get their house ready and they will be charged for it. We will be pulling them to shore starting tomorrow and hope to have the majority in our storage lot by sometime Tuesday.
Keep a Tight Line!
