Overnight, we received some rain and slushy snow. This morning, the temps are starting to drop, and things should freeze up quite well out there in the next 24-36 hours. For that reason, we closed our access for the next 24 hours so things could freeze up out there. Our access to the lake is in very good condition, and we will be allowing wheelhouses to access it for the weekend. Call to get on the list if you are interested. Rentals will be available and ready for those who have reserved. We are getting a little more snow off and on the next few days, but the weekend looks good for the last one of the Walleye Season.
The few fishermen who were out last night reported a slow bite during the strong east wind and rain. We’ll see what going back to to “winter” does for the bite this weekend.
