Today we are staging and pulling houses back into the storage lot for summer. If all goes well we will have everything wrapped up by Tuesday evening, which includes picking up all the blocking, policing the areas for anything left on the ice by anglers, road stakes and signs, etc. Later in March or April, (depending on the weather and temps), we go out again and pickup anything that was covered up by snow earlier.
I will continue to keep roads open for wheelhouses and portable anglers as long as weather allows for Northern Pike fishing, and out to the “Tullibee Hole” for Perch and Tullibee anglers.
It will be best to watch the fishing report for conditions and what will be happening as things go on this spring as things can change quickly out there.
For those interested in the truth about the “Treaty Boundary dispute between Mille Lacs County, the State of Minnesota, and Mille Lacs Band. I will be reprinting on this report monthly updates from Mille Lacs County and their attorneys so you can understand what truly is happening and why. After the recent decision made by Ellison, (MN AG), and Walz, it is obviously a move by the state to financially force Mille Lacs County to foot the entire bill to defend something that the State of MN has always supported the last 100 years. It just goes to show how much the Tribal interests are important in St. Paul. It will be interesting to find out how Ellison and Walz’s net worth grow over the next couple years…just follow the money….
Keep a Tight LIne!! Eddy
