Yesterday we staged all the houses on the Tullibee road close to shore (see web cam) and by this evening all will be “officially ” off the lake. With the high winds some of the drifts out there were like wet and it was actually easier to plow away from the roads to get to some of the houses.
Our main roads blew pretty clear and I plan on keeping the “Tullibee Road” open and our road west towards the islands for Northern Pike as long as the weather will allow. But you should call ahead to check before your trip.
Hopefully this last weekend some anglers learned that when the guy that runs the place tells you to get off the lake before it gets bad they listen next time. Everyone got off the ice by early Sunday morning here except for one permanent group, But I knew where they were at that the roads to them would be fine. After 40 plus years of doing this I’ve just about seen it all and 40mph winds are nothing to mess with. Imagine if we would have had 12″ of new snow….. As far as I’m concerned alot of us dodged the bullet on this one..
Keep a Tight Line!! Eddy
