February 27th, 2025

Today, a few anglers went out early and tried for Perch and Tullibee with little success, I presume. They left the ice about lunchtime.  One group is still out in the basin SW of Spider so we will see if they report later.

It has been cold enough at night that the water on top of the ice is freezing, and there shouldn’t be any problems when the strong NW winds pick up tomorrow. For a while this week, I thought the snow would melt enough to where there was just standing water (which could have been a problem with strong winds), but now, with the colder weather coming for the weekend, things should be good. Please avoid the road banks and don’t try to cross them unless you check them first.

The road approach will be good for this weekend. Next week, when it warms up, we will have to watch it, and go from there,

Keep a Tight Line!
