Over the weekend, there were mixed reports as fishermen spread out looking for Perch in the mud basins in front of us with mixed results. Some were finding them, and some were not. One fisherman reported seeing four Northern Pike, two muskellunge, Walleye, and Perch on their camera over the day in 36 feet of water.  But not much was biting.  A couple of others in 10′-11′ feet of water watched 50, some Walleye, many nice sized, swim by their camera in close to shore without catching any.  Many fishermen didn’t have any luck at all.  With the strong SE winds Saturday, many just stayed put.

It’s looking increasingly likely that we will be in a weather pattern with more snow more often. If you’re planning on bringing a wheelhouse, it would be wise to have chains from here on out. There is enough snow and drifts out there to cause problems if you are “off-roading.”  Depending on how much snow we get in the future, we might start offering to plow spots. We will wait and see how much snow we get. Our weekend wheelhouse list starts Tuesday.

Keep a Tight Line!
