The night bite continued Saturday evening for those out there. Rentals reported the best activity from 10:00pm to 3:00am. Those out during the daylight hours have some luck but it was inconsistent. Many pictures were sent in with slot Walleye up to 26″ overnight and best depth was 14′-18′. Daytime action was more in the 20′ range. Perch action was best in the early daylight hours.
I blocked off our road to the Gravel as there was a couple moving cracks coming from the direction of Big Point headed towards Otto’s Point area that crossed or road about a mile NW of the Banana Reef. Tomorrow we are going to go out and pull the stakes and cones from there as it isn’t worth going out there for the daytime bite from what reports I heard over the weekend.
Starting Tuesday, the temps both day and night will be above freezing and the possibility of significant rain is in the forecast for Wednesday evening thru Friday. Not sure how much yet, but the percentages are in the 60-80% range. We’ll be watching as it gets closer and decide what we will be doing later this week. After the weekend temps are forecasted to drop some so we will see what happens..
We will continue with ATV’s for rentals, portables and small wheelhouses pulled by them for now, as the ice and access is holding up well doing things this way.
Keep a Tight Line!
