For the last couple of days, the best fishing has been in shallow water at night for the Walleye. But for most, fishing in 8-12 feet of water with generators, lights, etc., usually doesn’t work out.  Low light and quiet will help.  Perch are in the basins in the mud, but they are constantly moving, looking for bug hatches, so you have to be on the move also.  The daytime Perch activity in the shallower gravel basins is more consistent, but there are more small Perch.  However, larger ones are showing up more daily and will continue throughout the season.

We are expecting a fair amount of snow tonight, some very strong winds on Thursday, and more snow Friday night into Saturday. Those who have wheelhouses should bring tire chains.  It is still pretty easy to get off roads and move, but after this weekend’s weather that could change.

We still have a a few basic houses available in 12 or 24 hours shifts for the weekend and one 4 person Weeeknd Deluxe house available. (VIP5) , so give us a call if your interested.

Keep a Tight Line!
