Fishermen had mixed results over the weekend. From poor to fair fishing were the reports coming in at the office yesterday. Many anglers were seeing Walleye on their cameras or just looking down the holes, but getting them to bite was a challenge. Saturday between the weather changes in late afternoon was the best bite for most. The catch was spread out at almost every depth. But the shallower reefs had the nicer sized C/Rs.
Once again we received a little snow and a strong south wind Saturday during the day that died down in the late afternoon. There was some drifting, but nothing to cause problems. it just kept most fishermen in their houses.
We have three weekends left in the season and Starting Sunday Feb 28th will be removing houses off the lake. All Permanents will need to have their house ready to go by that day. Those not going to be here will need to get it ready the last day they are up and it will get pulled sooner. We have until March 2nd to get everything into the storage lot so the more that come off sooner the better it will be at the end.
Our new office with bathrooms/showers is almost ready and the last weekend we are hoping to invite our customers to stop in and get a preview of what will be for next season use. It’s been a long slow process to completion and more will be done over summer. But it will be worth the wait.
Happy Birthday to my Mom… Phyllis Lyback.. She would have been 101 today.
