Reports from anglers overnight from yesterday showed they had pretty good luck. Some nice sized C/R Walleye were reported. A couple big ones lost in the hole in two houses. Also some decent Perch action was had in shallow water. Perch were also in deep too but more smaller ones were out there.
We plowed into some of Pope’s Reef and SW of Spider as those areas were frozen enough to finally get over the top of. There was still some areas around Popes that had slush so we couldn’t get everywhere we wanted. We expanded roads to the gravel and will be plowing spots out there for wheelhouses tomorrow. The ice on the road out there is good, but when you get out there it is not as thick as you would think it should be for this time of year. The recent cold last week caused a lot of cracks running out in the open lake and everywhere it cracked it flooded. With the warm weather this week it’s not freezing up either.
We have moved rentals for the weekend to new spots. Made more areas available for wheelhouses deep and shallow so we will find out what’s going on and where this weekend. If your a seasonal wheelhouse or weekend wheelhouse you need to call and reserve a spot so we know what we need to have available.
Keep a Tight Line!
