The last couple of days’ weather changes gave some fishermen in the right spot the opportunity to catch some nice Walleye. I received numerous pictures, which I will post on our Facebook page, of 19″- 26″ Walleye and Northern Pike. Most of the deeper water areas had a lot of small Walleye, and I pulled most of our rentals in shallow to get away with fishermen pulling up small Walleye that their bladders popped. Lots of small Walleye have been killed that way this season. From some reports I heard this morning, fishermen overnight in 18 ft or less are seeing larger fish on their ‘live scopes”.
We got another 3-5″ of snow overnight, and fortunately, there hasn’t been much wind. With cloudy skies and fresh snow, visibility is not so good, but that will change this afternoon. We cleaned off all the main roads this morning and are working on driveways throughout the day for those out there. This week looks colder, with the possibility of more snow next weekend (?)
Yesterday, I established the road to our Tullibee Hole on the North side of the Banana Reef for those who want to see if they are in there yet. So far, the few who have tried haven’t had too much luck.
Keep a Tight Line!
