February 9th, 2019

So far from what reports I’ve heard from Friday and Friday night the bite was pretty slow. After the snow on Wednesday/Thursday the barometer spiked  as the cold came and the bite slowed considerably compared to what it was.  I’m thinking that as it warms up today and with the chance of snow over night into Sunday it will pickup .

We have some plowing to do yet to clean up after the snow, but we have the majority of roads where the most traffic is wide open. We will be stop plowing some of the roads after this weekend as there is another big storm forecast this week and it is simply just not worth it.

Time is running out to sign up for the Lybacks/TWP fishing contest on February 23rd. Cost is $50.00/person. Limit is 150 entries.(right now there are about 60 left)  It is a 100% payback in cash and prizes tournament. Everyone will receive a door prize despite how they do fishing and alot of prizes this year are in the $200/500 retail range.  Tickets must be purchased in advance at our office.  Tournament hours are  8:00 am to 2:00 pm, contestants must check-in Saturday morning at the TWP trailer on the ice in front of our access and sign waiver, pick up a TWP ruler, and the rules to be eligible  to participate in it or receive any door prizes. Walleye and Northern Pike will be catch/measure/ picture verify/release.  Perch /Tullibee will be catch and weigh-in at TWP trailer.  This is a customer appreciation event  and just alot of fun.
