Yesterday I established some of the roads out in the Graveyard Reef area.  Areas that were previously flooded had froze enough to go over and areas not flooded the snow was a foot deep with drifts that were higher.  The only flooding I found was where portable anglers had recently been and most was impassable.  Any house that does go out will need a large area cleared off to get the weight of the snow off the ice to prevent excessive flooding.  The ice depth ranges for 12″ to 16″. There’s just alot of snow out there.

The bite was on the slow side for the anglers that were out that reported.  Small Perch and Walleye were most of the catch but I did see a couple slot Walleye.

I am going to keep on working on roads to areas today and tomorrow, then start plowing spots on Thursday for houses.  I’ll decide then as to whether or not we will be going to pull permanents or hold off.

Meanwhile we are limiting vehicle weights to under 6000 lbs.  Allowing seasonal single axle wheelhouses with 1/2 tons.  Portable fishermen are encouraged  to snowmobile to get away from the roads and houses to prevent flooding of some areas.

Be Safe
