Yesterday many anglers showed up with portables, ATV, snowmobiles and many showed up with smaller vehicles under 5000lbs like we had asked. All driving were told to drive 5mph and most did. But there seems to always be someone….   A Tullibee fisherman thought 5mph was 50…obviously he didn’t care for others that would be using the roads.   Most others were respectful and kept things slow.

I received many reports and pictures, but just as many reports saying it was pretty tough bite.  There were so many out that a lot of territory was covered, all depths on many reefs and the gravel bar we are going to.  By the timing of the reports and pics the shallower water was OK overnight and by mid morning the 28-30 deeper edges were better.  Some anglers found some decent Perch. Some anglers just didn’t have much luck.  Alot of reports fish down there and alot of follows and drops.   But that’s fishing.

Ice conditions on the roads are improving. With what traffic there was on them they held up well. We are going to check the depth Monday again and change things then.

A couple notes to fishermen. We had a call yesterday that when this customer left he had lost a hard cover rod case with four very nice jig rods in it and wanted to know if we had found it or if someone had turned it in.  We checked the parking area and roads with no luck.  More than likely, some angler picked it up on their way in and decided to keep it.  If you are the one that did it would be nice to return it to us or call and we will give you the number of the anglers that owns it.  Also one of our private customers found a tackle box with alot of nice ice fishing jigs in it and will be dropping off in our office.  It would be nice if the true owner would call, identify what’s  in it and get it back.

Keep a Tight Line!
