Yesterday anglers that were out had mixed reports.  The rentals did pretty good with some nice sized Walleye.  One angler C/R a 28.5″ in 17 feet of water off Popes Point.

This warmer weather is really pretty much put a stop to the ice making except for where we have roads. Yesterday and today I was and will be widen existing roads as now they are forecasting 2″-5″ of snow Thursday/Thursday night with strong NW winds up to 30 mph following it on Friday.  As the storm gets closer and the forecast gets more focused I’ll decide whether to keep pulling on Wednesday or wait it out. I realize everyone is champing at the bit to get out there, but I don’t control the ice or weather. I will do the best I can to  accommodate everyone.

We are letting vehicles weigh up to 7000 lbs out now.   Small single axle wheelhouses, (16 feet or under can be towed with 1/2 ton trucks).  other larger ones will need a side by side, or a lightweight pickup to pull. After we check roads again on Friday I will update it.

Keep a Tight Line!
