Yesterday we established the road to the Banana and East Spider reefs. There is a slush spot that needs to freeze before it’s passable but it will eventually. Today I’m starting to plow spots for houses. Yesterday I started with some and it take 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour to break up the snow and clear an area to place a house.
The bite seems to be more at night from what II’ve seen the last couple days. Some nice over the slot and slot fish have been caught in shallow and mid-range depths. Daytime action has mostly been Perch and small Walleye and occasional Northern Pike.
Our plan is to keep plowing spots for houses thru the weekend and after the warmer weather passes on Monday starting to get more houses out. It will be a day by day and we will see how it goes.
We are letting vehicles to 6000lbs go to houses, Seasonal Wheelhouse customers with 1/2 tons and single axle houses. Portables we are encouraging you to bring a snowmobile or ATV to keep vehicles from parking on the roads.
Be Safe,
Eddy
