Fishing reports yesterday were pretty good for most.  Not alot of numbers, but some nice sized Walleye were caught.  Those that seems to get  more as far as numbers were in deeper water, but most were well under the slot.  Every rental had action which was nice to see.  The better catches were in 14-20 feet.

Just one night of cooler temps help the flooding somewhat, but areas where there are drifts you could drive thru 2 days ago when it was warmer, now you will not without difficulty.  Yesterday there were many people driving off the road and getting stuck.  The biggest problem was the smooth ice below.  As soon as they spun out, they were done. If your going to off-road I would highly recommend getting a set of chains to throw on when you get here, especially if you are going to pulling a wheelhouse.  It will save alot of work for you and me both.  Also beware of some areas out in the open as some flooding has occurred in spots due to the thinner ice.  You want to avoid those areas for now. As they freeze up over the next few days they will be good spots to park on.

Today I will be working on roads and getting spots ready to pull the rest  of the permanents on the list for this coming week.  Tuesday we will start our weekend wheelhouse list.  Limit will be 50.  if you want a spot plowed you will need to let the office know when you sign up so we have and idea of how many to open up.  (Same for our seasonal/weekly customers.  If you want a spot plowed we need to know  well in advance.)  All wheelhouses will need to arrive here and be on the lake by sundown as none will be allowed out after dark.  We like to keep things spread out and quiet here for everyone.

Keep a Tight Line!               Eddy
