We will be working on packing the snow with the Bombi on what will eventually be our roads the next couple days. I was out yesterday and almost everywhere there was an inch or two of slush under 4-8 inches of snow.  Mostly from the rain. There were areas where it had flooded, but most places were freezing well and if the snow stays away and we get some cold we will still have a chance to get going.  Until the slush freezes, the ice below it is not going to freeze and get thicker so it will be awhile yet. And what does freeze above will improve the ice depth, but will not necessarily be the strong ice we really need.  But at this point we’ll take what we can get.

For this weekend we will continue with portables, Snowmobiles and ATV’s.  Parking area is ready for trailer rigs and wheelhouses for camping.  The bite is good and the weather sounds like it will be comfortable for portable fishing so get out and enjoy it!

Keep a Tight Line!
