Overnight from what early reports I have heard was a pretty good I received numerous pictures of C/R Walleye and a few slot Walleye also. We’ll see what happens out there today.
We are going to be widening the roads and plowing more areas for permanents and getting things back in shape for the next snow which inevitably will happen. Even though they keep talking colder weather coming it seems to still be a week away. Before it does something will happen. It doesn’t just overnight turn cold without wind at least. And on the lake that means drifting.
We’ve been receiving a lot of calls about weekend wheelhouse access the last couple days. Normally by now we have a weekend wheelhouse list going for non-seasonal wheelhouse customers to sign up for the weekend. But with the ice and snow conditions we are taking care of our seasonal permanent and wheelhouse customers first. As much as I would like the extra income from daily access fees as some places do, we will always take care of our yearly customers first. That’s we were the first on the lake to start a weekend wheelhouse list three years ago. It was the way to keep track of what you could handle and organize things so everyone was happy and not overcrowd fishing areas. Unfortunately we haven’t got to that stage yet because of the way the ice is this year, but hoping to soon. Keep watching the report.
Keep a Tight Line!
