Wednesday night, the bite was pretty good on the NW side of the Graveyard, and yesterday most of our customers went home to beat the wind and whiteout conditions predicted. By the afternoon, it was pretty nasty out there. Only one regular customer stayed out overnight.
After the moves on Wednesday, the guys fired up all the rentals in the morning to warm them up before drilling. Then they spent the afternoon running in pairs (for safety in the whiteout conditions) to the houses, drilling and putting the finishing touches on them for all the arrivals on Friday, as all are reserved except for two that backed out. So call if you want one. One is a deluxe 4-person and the other a deluxe 2-person.
This morning, the crew is out there re-checking all the rentals, cleaning driveways, and getting ready for the weekend. The winds have dropped and should stay down all weekend, so -20 won’t be the end of the world like forecasters report. With the sunshine, the day bite will more than likely pick up as well. I have a road out to the “Tullibee Hole,” and someone should head out there and try it.
