The night bite for Walleye is picking up this week. Reports of Walleye being C/R in the 20″-26″ range. Daytime Perch action is also picking up in the basin areas. Some nice-sized ones are being caught. In shallower, there are still a lot of smalls, but more and more 10″ plus are showing up. It’s that time of year.
We still have a couple of deluxe rentals available for the weekend and will be splitting them up into 12- and 24-hour shifts. Some of the tournament fishermen may want one.
Wheelhouses will not need plowed spots again this weekend, but I would advise having a set of chains along. The ice is so smooth, and the drifts are hard, so you can imagine what happens there. With snow coming Saturday, the drifts will be harder to see, too. It’s looking like there is going to be more snow in the forecasts through February, so the running all over the place will probably be coming to an end. Call to get on our list and save on the access fees.
Have a fun weekend out there!
