Overnight, some fishermen had some good action, both shallow and deep. With the weather change coming today and tonight, the bite will improve. It’s been a long, cold spell, and the warmer weather will be welcomed by most. I’ll make sure to post some pictures received today tomorrow.

Full moon early this am.

With warmer weather, we will start to see some snow this coming week, and a little snow cover will help insulate the ice from the upcoming temperature changes.  The ice has been cold for so long that, when it warms up and “expands,” I expect to see the pressure ridge we have been dealing with start moving again. That’s why we have a second crossing area ready, just in case.
