Yesterday the bite slowed as the weather changed from what reports I heard. Not many reported when they left so I’m presuming it was pretty quite from the reports I did receive.
We spent the day blocking up houses and widening roads in preparation for the snow today and tonite. We are on the northern edge but it’s forecasted we will get 4-6″ snow. Some forecasts say 5-8″. 15-20 mph NE winds with gusts to 30 will cause some pretty good drifting. We have two rental customers out today and we will shut down until the wind drops and go from there.
Depending on the weather outcome I am planning on starting to pull some of the smaller permanents and getting started this weekend. There is going to be a lot of areas that we normally go will not be happening for some time until the flooded areas freeze and with this new snow it could change things out there dramatically. Normally it wouldn’t if we had 20″of ice, but with ice depths from 11-15″ it will.
Keep a Tight Line
