Yesterday’s fishing reports from Anglers were mixed Some Walleye caught but either under the slot or over it. Received a few pics of 24″ to 26″ Walleye. There was Perch action but most were small. But it was a nice day to be out there.
I opened up the road to the SE side of Ray’s Reef. For the most part the previously flooded areas were frozen enough to cross. As I was finishing it it started cracking up some and getting wet so left it alone. We’ll see what it looks like this morning. Today I’m working on widening the Graveyard Road and getting out over the flooded, (and hopefully frozen) spots and get to the NW end of it. There has been enough portable anglers out in those areas that most of it has been flooded for some time so I’m hoping to make some more headway.
We are letting vehicles out under 5000 lbs, Paid seasonal customers with 1/2 ton trucks and under 16ft single axle wheelhouses to limited areas.
If I don’t have areas to put houses that are flooded and froze or have 14″ or more of ice under them. I’ve seen too many times over the 50 years that I’ve been doing this with the amount of snow that’s out there and only 12″ of ice under it all it takes is one big storm and you spend the rest of the season just getting them off the lake. I’ll keep trying to establish spots to put houses and hoping for colder weather,
Be Safe,
Eddy
