The majority of angler’s out there over the weekend had action, mostly small Perch and Walleye. I received pictures of Walleye from 20.5 to over 25″ from different locations, but not many were in the slot. Many Northern were seen on camera’s and a few had “linebreakers”
My plan is to get more roads established and spots plowed the next couple days. Then we will start pulling permanents. It will be a slow process and to be honest, I’m not sure how many we will be able to get to the areas they are used to. Some of the slush spots are healing enough to go on but not all of them. We’ll see how it goes the next couple days. Weather is staying on the warm side this next week so things will go day by day.
For now we are limiting traffic to vehicles under 5500 lbs to rentals and permanents. Seasonal Wheelhouse customers with 1/2 tons and single axles only. We will be taking care of our paid seasonal customers first before allowing daily drive-on wheelhouses as we mover forward. We are encouraging portable traffic to bring a snowmobile or ATV and park their rigs in lot along driveway.
Be Safe
