Last night and today we have strong W-NW winds and temps in the teens. Slush Ice is forming along the shoreline and slowly working it’s way out. We are getting “lake effect” snow here on the SE corner of the lake, (something we don’t see very often)
This coming week the temps are going to approach the mid thirties so I do not expect much to happen with ice making other than to get a start. I’m sure a few fishermen will attempt to get out on the ice in the southern bays and try their luck, but none of that will be happening here for sure.
On December 5th our new office will be “officially” open in my Grandfather’s restored barn. It’s been a five year project that is finally coming to completion. It will have bathrooms/showers, customer seating, We will not be cooking food, but will offer coffee, bakery rolls, Heggies Pizza, and soft drinks, bottled water and juice for those while they are there.
It will be a big change from the Red House Office that we worked out of for many years. Customers will need to get used to “stopping” at the Barn to check in, Parking as not to block traffic that is leaving, etc. it will be a learning experience for sure.
Tight Lines!
