Yesterday afternoon and overnight we had very strong NW winds and had single digit temps by this morning. Right now there is slush ice out 100 yards and the water beyond is ready to freeze. I wouldn’t be surprised that if the wind drops tonight there will be ice quite a ways out by morning. With the temps moderating over the next week it won’t stay very long I’m thinking. we’ll just have to wait it out and see. The bays will more than likely stay locked up but the main lake will be quite awhile before that happens.
Keep checking on the web cam to see it’s progress. I moved it so it’s looking straight out to the North towards Gull Reef.
Keep a Tight Line!
