Fish House Rentals

Note:  Our office hours are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm – Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm  Friday and Saturday. Sometimes during the week, if things are slow, we may close our office earlier but will answer the phone during office hours.  This year, we will have a new office and men’s and women’s bathrooms with showers for our customers. Since we are only open from December through February, we have chosen not to accept credit/cash cards because of processing fees.  We accept payment with cash or check only.   We do not sell bait, so make sure you bring your own!

Lyback’s Ice Fishing offers 4, 6, and 8-hole deluxe houses and 4 and 6-hole basic sleeper fish houses for rent.

Our deluxe houses are roomier and much more enjoyable if you want to stay the entire weekend. Basic and deluxe houses are well insulated, have paneled walls, carpet, and insulated windows, and are warm, clean, and comfortable. Both deluxe and basic houses have the holes drilled, the heat on, and the house cleaned. When you arrive with a reservation, they are ready to go, and you will be escorted out by a worker who will explain the workings of the rental.

SORRY, Absolutely NO PETS ALLOWED IN RENTAL FISH HOUSES!
We accept cash or checks as final payments.  We do NOT accept credit cards or have an ATM.

Basic Fish House Rentals:
Basic House rental shifts run from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm to 7:00 am—12-hour minimum rental required. Shift times are variable at your request during weekdays, depending on availability.

4 Hole – Basic 8×12 – $ 90.00 per 12-hour shift + tax (4 Single Bunks, sleeps 4, ideal for two)
Includes: Gas Heat, one gas light, 12v Light (bring your own battery), table, chairs, and shelves. An outdoor toilet is next to each Basic Fish house rental. NOTE! (Mon-Thursday is available for a $50.00/12hr shift, or $75.00/24hr shift for one angler.)
No cooking stove; bring a camp stove if you desire.

6 Hole – Basic 8×16 – $135.00 per 12 hour shift + tax (4 Single Bunks, sleeps 4)
Includes:  Gas heat, gas light, 12v light (bring your own battery), cooking stove w/oven, table, chairs, shelves. An outdoor toilet is next to each Basic Fish house rental.  (Monday-Thursday only, available for $200.00 for 24 hour period)

Things to Bring when Renting any of our Ice Houses:
-Your own bedding, cooking/eating utensils, jig sticks or rattle reels, bait & tackle, slush scoop.
-We do NOT sell any bait, tackle, or fishing licenses.  Bring everything with you at the time of check-in. There are bait shops in Isle, Wahkon, and on your way north on Hwys169 and 65.  grocery and convenience stores located in Isle and Wahkon. All within 2 miles from us.  Our new office has ADA bathrooms and showers available for customers, and we make and sell Heggies Pizza there with on-ice delivery available, too.

All rates are subject to 7.375% MN-Mille Lacs County Sales Tax.  Rates are subject to change without notice.
We accept cash or checks as final payments.  Sorry, we do not accept credit cards.
Houses are available for rent until the last day of February, weather permitting.

We fish the areas between Wahkon and Isle Bays and out on the lake, sometimes as far as 4 miles. We have a very good variation of structure to fish, whether it’s renting one of our houses, portable or wheelhouse fishing. There are shallow reefs, deeper reefs next to gravel, sand or mud. The “Tullibee Hole” is just 2 miles from our shoreline, and the Gravel Bars are just West of Hennepin Island, which is about 3 miles from our shoreline. There is just about any structure you want to fish, all within 4 miles of our access, and we keep good-plowed roads to all of them. We usually have very good early-season Walleye action in shallow and then move out deeper as the season goes along. There is a fair amount of Northern Pike action, and the Perch and Tullibee action continues sometimes well into March.
