Friday night Full Moon did the trick in shallow water.  Walleyes were there if you were in the right spot.   During the day was the typical lots of Perch and pick thru them for some keepers.  Last evening at about dusk, the baro shot up and about and hour of Waleye action was enjoyed by some.  One house reported catching 5, although all could not be kept.

I’m watching the weather closely for next Saturday Lybacks/TWP  Tournament to decide whether or not to have the weigh-in on the lake or not.   If it’s snowing and blowing we are going to have it on shore back in the storage lot where we can be out of the wind.  There is plenty of room for parking  and it’s already cleaned off waiting for the houses to come in.

Last night with the full moon those that were out there caught some really nice Walleyes.  One house caught and released a 30″ inch Walleye and some others caught some nice ones also.  Despite the changes in the lake it still works!!

With the warmer weather coming this next week we should have some better fishing and changes are happening out there.  Tullibees are moving into the areas where bugs are hatching and some bigger Perch are showing up.

I spent the whole day plowing to those areas and anticipating things to get better.  Come on up and let’s see if it works!

Lybacks/TWP fishing contest entrants, check last night’s blog for the latest info.

Fishing improved somewhat with the warmer weather for better sized Perch, but over night Walleyes were still a tough bite. Wednesday evening we received a couple inches of snow and a SW, then NW winds so yesterday was pretty miserable out there.

I’m starting to hear of reports of Tullibee biting  on different spots of the lake which means they should be starting to bite in the “Tullibee Hole”  I’m expecting some fishermen will be giving it a try this weekend as the weather starts warming more.  It would be fun to see that again.

Everything is a go for the Lybacks/TWP Tournament on Feb.22nd.  Contest hours are 7:00 am. to 3:00 pm.  We are hoping to have the weigh-in on the ice. But will have information at the office for that Thursday and Friday.  All contestants will be required to sign-in at the office BEFORE fishing or will not be eligible for prizes.  So stop by the office Friday when you arrive or early Saturday am.  We will be open at 5:00am that day.

Keep a Tight Line!!
