Yesterday more time was spent packing what will be the roads in the areas we have checked. Angler’s MUST keep in mind that where we stopped, they should not go further.  This year the ice depth are very inconsistent  on the main lake ice and cannot be taken for granted that it’s the same.  The thin ice and alot of snow created areas of ice as thick as 10″ and areas next to it as little as 3″  and every area around the lake is different. Extreme caution is necessary.

The bite yesterday was quieter from what few reports I heard.  We had about 20 anglers out but only a couple called in their catch when they left.  It would really be nice if anglers would report when leaving.  We give everyone a map of where we are with roads, etc and it has a number to call or text pics to.  It would help all out if they would give us a report, good or bad.

It looks like we will have a stretch of fairly cold weather ahead this next week with no snow.  Maybe we will start to make some progress on ice depth and consistency.  For know we will continue with snowmobiles, ATV’s with tracks, and walking.  There is plenty of parking for rigs in our field along the entrance, and walkers can park up front by the lake.

Keep a Tight Line!!
