December 1st, 2019

Over Thanksgiving we got hit with two snowfalls totaling about a foot.  Unfortunately the majority of the lake was frozen by the second snowfall.  Some areas of the lake the snow pretty much blew off and in others it drifted pretty good.

I think areas where there was rougher ice and the snow stayed, the weight of it will sink the ice and freeze.   some areas where the ice was already 5-7 inches thick and out of the wind, it might just sit there… Either way it is going to be awhile now before we will be getting out there. In seasons past when it has froze early like it did this fall, this usually happened.  So now we hurry up and wait.

After the winds dies tonight, tomorrow we will get out and check the ice and see where we are with it. It’s not what everyone was hoping for but we’ll see how it goes.

Keep a Tight Line!!       Eddy
