February 21st, 2019

Yesterday we received approximately 5-6 inches of snow, but the winds didn’t pick up so there was not much drifting. Just enough to keep the main roads pretty clear. Today we will be opening everything up and start getting ready for the weekend.

A few anglers were out during the day but during the snow and east wind that was with it the bite was slow.  Later in the day I did get a picture of a 30″, 11 lb Walleye C/R from an angler.   I will post it on our Lybacks Ice Fishing Facebook page later today.

I’ve been watching every weather forecast possible, and if most are correct the majority of this next storm coming over the weekend will stay to our southeast.  Currently it is forecasted that we will receive only 1-3 inches of snow, some freezing drizzle Saturday mixed with flurries. And then wind picking up Sunday.  If we do get the freezing drizzle it could cap the snow enough to prevent major drifting which would be a blessing for us.

Unless the weather forecast takes an abrupt turn for the worse the Lybacks/TWP Tournament is on for Saturday, If the forecast does change dramatically I will call it in tomorrow morning’s report, but for now it’s looking like it will be on. Check-in/registration will be on the landing in front starting at 6:00 am at the TWP wheelhouse.   Weigh-in and prize drawings will be held back in our field along the driveway starting immediately after 2:00 pm.

We will only be plowing wheelhouse spots for our weekly paid storage customers that have their house here and they MUST call 24 hours in advance for us to plow one.  We will be extremely busy and not be able to handle any extra. NO
EXCEPTIONS!!

Wheelhouses must be removed by Sunday February 24th from our storage lot unless arrangement are made with office for staying later.

Snow, Snow go away…       Eddy
