Overnight the barometer dropped some and the Walleye bite was better for a few anglers if they were in the right spot. We will see if that continues over the weekend. The weather should be nice this weekend for the last one for Walleyes, and will be alot of activity out there with Tournaments, etc. so finding a quiet place will be the better fishing I’m sure.
Permanent are reminded that they need to get up here and get their house ready to be pulled in and settled up any charges this weekend. Wheelhouses with storage need to get them this pick them up this weekend and settle accounts also. Or make arrangements for summer storage at the office. We will continue to keep roads open to the Tullibee Hole and Northern Pike spots into March.
I think I found out why our Governor Walz won’t do anything to support the Citizens of Mille Lacs County, or support the anglers that fish Mille Lacs. This week he had our Attorney general, Keith Ellison draft a statement supporting the Mille Lacs Band and their request to reestablish the 61,000 acre reservation that has been disestablished legally almost 100 years ago. He has stabbed the taxpayers and landowners of Miile Lacs County in the back. Apparently he doesn’t care if we have clear title to our land we purchased from Minnesota free and clear of all encumbrances.. Now we will have to defend our rights as landowners because of a Governor and AG that are in the Bands back pockets.. What is this State becoming…. watch out who you vote for next time people ….
