February 23rd, 2020

The weekend wrapped up with with mixed reports of catches.  I got to sit in the office and talk to almost everyone as they came off and I  was to”average” the catch, most caught 4-8 Walleye per house.  Some rentals ended up with 12-18 Walleye and quite a few 27″ and larger Walleye were C/R.

About 4:00 pm the ice pushed and both road heaved up to the point were we shut down the “Tullibee Road” until we get it repaired the next couple days.  Fortunately we got roughly 60 houses staged on the shore side of the main roads before it pushed.  Currently we are using the “Graveyard” Road for in and out farther.

I want to thank everyone that patronized us this year, whether it was permanent houses, seasonal wheelhouses or the weekend wheelhouse customers.  It was a slow start, but the weather was on our side the last five weeks and we finished up in pretty good shape. The bite was pretty good for most and it was nice to see everyone again.  Next year will see some changes with the new office/showers in my grandfathers barn I have been restoring the last couple years, and hopefully there will be some change in leadership out there.  I will be 65 this spring and will start to slow down some I hope…I’ll still be around, but not here 24 hours day like the past and the same will go for Cindy.  It will be a big change for us, but it’s time for the younger generation to step up.

Keep a Tight Line!      Eddy
