Fishermen yesterday didn’t really get out until  mid-afternoon to their rentals, and most of the wheelhouses were out by mid afternoon also. The evening rounds when we talked to them there was mostly Perch action.  This morning there has been quite  portable fishermen showing up as the weather is suppose to be nice.

I plan on keeping roads open to the Tullibee Hole and Perch/Northern areas thru March as long as the weather and  Ice permits safe travel. Keep watching this report to see what will happen out there for us.

I had an interesting conversation with some anglers this morning in the office.  Apparently there is a law prohibiting the use of trail cams that send a notice to your phone when used for hunting purposes.  I believe it is called actively pursuing.  (?)  The question raised was what is the difference between that and an underwater locator/sonar devices that can see fish 50 or more feet away from you.  Isn’t that the same thing?  As fish populations dwindle by being overfished, sooner or later subjects like this will need to be addressed.

Keep a Tight Line!
