January 26th, 2023

As the weather changed yesterday the bite was good for a bit as the wind switched, then got pretty quiet.  Overnight I did not hear any reports.

The weather forecast is still about the same with 1-2 inches of snow overnight and South winds switching to NW in the morning at 20-25 with possible gusts to 35mph.  So Friday midday could be difficult to travel out there for awhile.  Winds will be dropping in late afternoon and evening with Saturday and rest of weekend just plain cold.  If you want know  about conditions Friday before you come I would suggest you call ahead.

Road banks are freezing up some, under the snow most areas I checked with slush are still there, even with -5 last night.  Its going to take 48 -72 hours to freeze at least so we can open up spots over the top of those areas.

Our plan for the weekend is to  remain with seasonal wheelhouse customers with 1/2 tons and single axles.   Next Tuesday we will start our weekend wheelhouse list for non-seasonal customers.  At this time it will remain 1/2 tons and single axles for the Tuesday list, but as ice depths in the roads increase over the next few days that might change. Keep watching the report.

Keep a Tight Line!
