Overnight we received an inch of snow ,by daylight the wind started switching to WNW. So far it’s pretty good out there and by looks of it the worst winds are west and south of us for now. I  don’t foresee any issues for fishermen for the weekend, except for the wind today and cold for the rest of it.

The bite overnight was pretty quiet from what reports I heard.  The weather changing as the by should improve fishing. And with more anglers out we will see if it does.

For the next few days as the cold gets to the ice we will be continuing with 1/2 tons and single axle wheelhouses that are paid seasonal customers only.  Tuesday we will start our weekend wheelhouse list  for non-seasonal customers.  It is our hope that by next weekend most of the slushed-out areas will be froze so we can go over the top of them and clear spots that will not flood out.  With the cold weather in 24-48 hrs  the ice will cooling off and there will be a lot of cracks showing up.  We will be encouraging all to be aware and drive slow on the roads ands be limiting wheelhouse traffic to lighter rigs during that time. Next week should show some big improvements on ice conditions out there.

Keep a Tight Line!
