January 6th, 2022

Yesterday the wind blew steady from the N-NW for most of the day right before dark it started to die down.  We didn’t receive the 30-40 mph gusts as forecasted but it was enough to keep it pretty much a whiteout.  The rentals that were out on the farther reefs we escorted in.

The overnite bite was slow except for the few in shallower. Not many out there in weather like that.

The plan is for today to get the rest of reserved rentals for the weekend out. Clean up things as we go and start on the permanent list.  From Friday on we will be pulling permanents out for our customers.  I will be going in order of the list established and you will be called as your house goes out.   My crew will be working thru the weekend and beyond to get all that are going out by next weekend. Paid seasonal wheelhouse customers with single axle wheelhouses weighing under 4500 lbs. and have a vehicle under 5500lbs to pull it with will be let out.  The following weekend those with tandem wheelhouses pulled by smaller trucks will be going.  (You will need chains on your truck).  Or you will need a spot plowed by us.  All wheelhouses will have to be off the main roads by a least 100 feet and come off the lake after their stay.

Portable fishermen should definitely bring a snowmobile if portabling.  Or have a 4WD vehicle to get off the roads.  We will be plowing all weekend as we pull houses and will not want vehicles on the roads blocking us.

Keep a Tight Line!               Eddy
