The warm weather we are having is not making any ice and what ice there is in the bays is deteriorating.  I would think it would be wise just to stay off  until colder weather arrives. The “official” start to the Walleye season is not until Dec 1st, so keep that in mind.

This year so far has been an interesting one weather-wise and seeing this warm-up makes me wonder what really will happen out there this year… I’m hoping that the next cold snap stays and we get started.  It’s still early yet, and some years we weren’t out there until Christmas or later, but everyone seems to have the “itch” this year and wants to get going.

We are going to take the extra time and work on improvements to equipment until it’s time to go.  Permanent customers…Take advantage of this weekend and get your house checked over and repaired/ready for the ice while the weather is nice.  And stop by and see the “barn” and it’s progress. It won’t be ready for this season, but it’s come along way.. When it’s up and running it will be a welcome addition to our ice business for all of our customers.
