February 17th/18th, 2019

I apologize for missing a day yesterday.  The first missed since we hit the ice..  A recap of the weekend was  Thursday afternoon thru midday Friday, most that were out thru the wind did well.  By Friday afternoon as the barometer topped out the bite slowed.  Friday night some of our rentals did very well in both deep and shallow areas with 8-15 C/R Walleyes per house. Saturday it was very slow for almost everyone during the day.  Many anglers with cameras reported seeing as many as 75 Walleyes swim thru and not even interested in biting.  By Saturday night the bite started again, mainly in shallower spots, but the deeper edges faired OK, but it was more inconsistent.  As people were leaving yesterday, very few were “skunked” and most caught a few. Not as many slot fish were reported kept as many are realizing that most are females with eggs and alot of anglers want to see them spawn.   That is a good thing.

This Wednesday and coming weekend sounds like we are going to see snow again. Hopefully most of it stays to our south. Some permanent houses called Sunday there last weekend and we are going to start pulling some of them today.

Wheelhouses that are stored weekly here MUST contact us this week as some of them are in the middle of our storage lot that will started to be used for permanent house storage beginning this week.  All wheelhouses MUST be removed by this coming Sunday, or we will be moving them, locked, unlocked or down on the ground they will be moved and we will not be responsible for any damage.  Those that want to stay longer or store thru the summer MUST contact us this week and make arrangements as we do have space you can move them to that will be out of the way with what we will be doing this next week.

Keep a Tight Line!      Eddy
