January 27th, 2019

Friday evening the bite was slow for most but by early morning Saturday and thru the afternoon almost everyone was C/R Walleye.  Our rentals all did pretty good with the exception of a couple, so that was good to see.  Numerous pictures were sent in of 25″-27″ plus Walleye which was nice to see also.

Despite the colder temps the shallow water spot s did very well.  Four of the rentals in 14 to 18 feet of water actually had the highest numbers of C/R, and some of the biggest came from that water as well.

Snow is coming and then extreme cold this week, so I’m expecting not much activity out there.  In fact if it gets as cold as predicted it probably would be a good idea to stay off  it during the couple coldest nights.   Fortunately temps will moderate before next weekend so it should decent weather for fishermen and the warm up will help the bite.

Yesterday and today until the snow starts we are getting things ready for it, cleaning up roads so they blow as clear as possible and making sure our rentals not being used are cleaned up and shut down until midweek when the temps moderate.
